In this day and age, who does re chroming? I have a back bumper on my 66 Barracuda that I know needs it. i also need to explore the Air cleaner as i do have a few rust spots that have cancered their way through the otherwise thick chrome just at the edge of the decal where water might pool. In addition, i have some small pot metal parts (turn signal fins, tail light housings, etc.) and if they want to take a swing at it, the egg crate grille panels that I could send to the tank. There has to be somewhere out here int he Midwest that still has the tanks set up... just serviceable quality is all i need, not concours.

I either use Tri City Plating in Elizabethton, TN or Advanced Plating in Portland, TN. There is also a good one in Texas but I don't remember the name at the moment.

Sell that aircleaner as-is. Go get a painted one and have it rechromed.

Tri-City did all my bumpers, which still look good to this day, some 20 years later. Not sure they would do the air cleaner lid, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Chuck is the man to talk to there.

Very few shops left around Detroit. Last bumpers I had done were stellar, but a grand apiece.
