I reluctantly bought 27 spline locally that was suppose to rebuilt for race. The guy already sold the valve body out of it so I was able to pick it up for $90.00.
What should I use for a valve body. I am going to install it behind my internally balanced stroker. What other parts will i also have to buy to make the swap from my early 904 to this one.

Thanks again for the advice

A&A makes a few good ones. They have bolth auto and manual versions.

the one rebuilt with a tci kit? in craigslist??? if so thats a 904, I was going to buy it.GRRRR!!!

Thanks Adam .. A&A i will give them a call tomorrow. Tell me if this is right. My 408 is neutral balance. The flex plate will be for a (340 - 904) and the torque convertor neutral balance. Would you know what else i will need to buy for the conversion.

As long their both A-body 904s you should all set.Be on the safe side and install a new front seal. Your cooler lines and linkages should swap right over.Check your flex plate for cracks around the crank bolt holes.

I've sold and installed A&A valve bodies for close to 10 years without a single problem.

In fact, I just got done putting an A&A valve bodied transmission together for a 1400 horsepower Challenger. :-D

Ive used T/A valve bodies before with no problems but theres much better stuff out there now. Remember to make sure what ever you buy has low band apply.
