I remember coming home from grade school and finding a vampire on television one afternoon. I thought is was just a one time viewing but was thrilled to find it was a soap opera that ran five days a week and I was hooked.

I have the whole series on a hard drive here... love the show.. The first 200 eps are different from the rest.. no barbabas or supernatural stuff, but Burke Devlin is in it.. which is one of my favorite soap names ever Called my dog "Bark Doglin" for awhile from that.. I just watched it for the first time bout 8 years ago...

And Roger was such a dick.. i love that anytime he enters a room he goes straight to make a drink.. supposedly a super nice guy in life though

It was also cool that when Tim Burton did the Movie that he had Jonathon Frid (original Barnabas) in the movie as one of the guests at the “Alice Cooper” concert!

He passed away shortly after filming in 2012.
