remote mirror

getting ready to install a remote drivers side mirror on my 68 fastback. looks to be a hair bigger than the stock mirror. thinkin 68ish charger. anyone got a remote in a 67-8-9 fish ? need the location of the control knob that goes in the door-"measurements" have read about this before, but couldn`t find it . thanks, bob

Ok here are pics from 67 door. The hole itself is not perfectly round. 1 small tab approx 3/16" wide and located around 11 oclock.
2nd tab/flat spot is located approx 5-6 oclock and 7/16" wide.Measuring the OD of hole on round spots (side to side) is 3/4"

A couple more pics and measurements. I measured from bottom of smokers window latch to bottom edge of hole 2 1/2"(flat spot)
Bottom edge of hole to body line measuring down is 9/16"

Hope rhat helps. I would think the orientation of the tabs wouldnt be crucial but that they need to be in line with each other if that makes sense.

No problem. Both drivers and passenger doors are complete lemme know if any other info is needed. Not to get sidetracked but notch/fb/vert door glass is different. Lock location on each year for 67-9 are different so there are linkage differences.
