Hi! I,m trying to remove 7 1/4 bbp axels from a 73 318,swinger.I punched the little pin in,now the bigger pin has a slot for flat head screwdriver.Does this have threads or can it be punched out? Also will these axels fit a 1966 7 1/4 rear?I want to switch because the 73,s are bbp.(to fit 14 inch rallys).i,m also switching front to disc. bbp.I have stripped everything from donar car, here,s a list.If i missed something please let me know thanks.
upper control arms
SPINDLES AND CALIPERS
ROTORS
MSTR CYL. AND ROD
proportioning valve.

thanks for any help in advance!

Flexible fluid hoses, pads and fluid away from BBP disc brakes there.
I'm afraid those axles wont work for you.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The 66 axles are held in with retainers behind the wheel bearings . 73 axles are held in wth circlips on the ends. Splines are different. Even the length I believe is different.

Thanks !!I do have a couple spare rears 1 is 8 1/4 4.10 sure-grip other is 8 3/4 c-body 3.23 open.I might send out the bigger one to be shortened, new bbp axels and already have .489 with 3.55 .the 66 has a 6 banger 4 barrel, headders, but i am gonna make a street/strip car out of it so i don,t have to beatup my Dart Sport. Thanks for your help,it,s appreaciated!
