I have some paint overspray on my cowl area from repainting my dash...can someone tell me the best way to remove it without hurting my 6 mo old paint job...the paint job is base clear... thanx.....:read2:

If it's just spray can paint, you can usually get it off with a cleaner wax. The clay bar WILL take it off too if ya got one. WD40 usually works as well.
I wouldn't be afraid to use polishing compound or even gasoline as neither will hurt the paint, just put another coat of wax on top when you finish.

I just used lighter fluid for charcoal! LOL! It worked, and did'nt do a thing to the old paint. It was just a crazy thought that I had, because it was sitting there, and I had to get rid of the over spray quickly.

Try simple green, it worked for me. The clay bar is probably the best though.....
