I have a set of ARP's in a set of rods but they are floaters and I need press fit. I want to pull the ARP's and use them in my rods but dont know the best method for removing the bolts. I gave them the old tap with a hammer, no dice. I put a nut on them and tapped it a little harder, not a chance. Dont want to fubar them trying to get them out. What gives? Always tapped out the old ones no prob.

Heat the rod and press them out.
really? Is that normal for ARP's? I usually use Pioneer rod bolts and never had them this tight. Damn, these balanced rods are too nice to F with, maybe Ill just sell them.

I would not heat them might screw with the hardness of them

There's a good chance if the rods were resized after those were put in, that the bore won't be round with any other fastener. Do another set of rods.
