Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew any good resources for a spray can J5 sublime or anything relatively close to it. This is going on a fender that needs repainting and it is only temporary to prevent rust as I have yet to do a proper paint job of the whole car. Just want to see how the color would look. I am based in Los Angeles if anyone has any good recs for local paint shops. This would be going on a 1970 Dodge Dart.

I did also find this place online, not sure if anyone here has bought from them before
Dodge Sublime J5

thanks!

I have used the company below several times. Their paint is excellent, and it has always matched very well. They did not have your color listed, but their website said to call them if you did not see your color.

Dodge All Touch Up Paint & Paint Color Codes

Never used, but SEM is an awesome brand.

Do a Google search for "1970 Dodge J5 Sublime green and several other will come up. The company at the top, automotive touch up, would be my first choice., and it looks like @66fyssh agrees.

My local parts store can mix any color and put it in a spray can single stage or base clear maybe one close to you can also .

I had a local O'Reilly's do that for me once, and it did not turn out well at all. How did yours look?

If you just Want temporary bare metal coverage, Rustoleum makes a color called key lime that's somewhat close. Beware-not every can may exactly match the color of the next, though!

Same here. They always tell customers that the paint will never be a perfect match without supplying a sample.

I bought a case of 1979 F8 from a PPG Augo Body paint supplier. He had this colt loaded into “blank” spray cans and it was a great match. I used these to paint the entire trunk and under hood areas (after applying 3 coats of light grey 2K Spray Primer from Amazon) and was very happy with the results. I then used SEM Ultra Gloss Clear (from Amazon) and it shined up great!!

google 66 Auto Color. They supplied the Plum Crazy single stage spray can paint that I used on my interior, trunk and engine compartment. It has an internal can of hardener that you release after shaking up the paint. It went on smooth, the metallic in the paint was correct and went on looking great.

If there is an Oreilly paint store in your area, they are surprisingly good at mixing paint. They can mix by color code OR infrared matching gun. That's one thing they are actually good at.
