Anybody running a lightweight flywheel with a 440 A body? just curious if the difference in the speed of the engine rev is noticeable?

Kinda depends what you consider light, and heavy.
I ran a 13lb aluminum wheel on a small block chevy, and it revved like a die grinder. But I had 4.56s in the back, too. Probably wouldnt have worked well with 3.08s.
Change a 35 lb stocker for a 22lb light steel, you WILL notice a difference.

Are you asking if the engine can rev to, say 5000 rpm, faster with a lighter flywheel?

IMO, for a streeter, not worth the time it takes to install it. Your zero to sixty is already around 5 seconds, and the tires are probably spinning the whole way. At least, that is the case with my 367, so, Ima guessing a 440 will do it better, lol.
But yeah, in Neutral the engine wicks up nicely, and drops like a rock when you lift....... if that's your cup-o-tea.

With only a 367 in my combo, I prefer the heavier flywheel. It makes taking off normally, a dump it and go deal.

On our Dune Buggy builds with VW air cooled engines, every engine displacement got a lightened flywheel.

Standard issue for the off road, custom light steel tubing framed cars.

In the majority of cases, street cars drive better with the heavier flywheels.

Especially with say a 340, a 2.47 low trans and 3.23s, for a starter gear of 7.98.. That box has nice splits, that's for sure, but getting off the line with the factory flywheel was never something I enjoyed.
Believe it or not, I traded my 2.47box away for a 3.09 overdrive; straight up.
But I gotta admit, that when dropping down into first at 35mph; it's a blast seeing 3500 on the tach; that gear would get me 60mph @6000 or so......... so there's always that to think about.

But I've never had a 440, I mean that's almost a third more cubes, and a lotta spinning mass inside it.
If I already had the lighter flywheel, I guess I'd try it. Well; 25 years ago I wouldda, lol.
