She had a lot of troubles in her life. Too bad. She REALLY could belt out a song. Always enjoyed her work.
 
I was shocked to hear this today. Her health was failing so it's best she didn't suffer too long. She came into the restaurant where I worked in the early 2000's and told us she didn't mind if people approached her. She was just a nice lady. But in concert her talent was striking, she sounded better than her recordings...one time I was in the front row, she sang right to me for a few seconds and gave me a wink to say, that's right, I was singing to you just now. Another time I saw her in concert, even though it was outdoors NOBODY made a sound and people's jaws dropped open because she was that good.

All those years of snorting blow coupled with the Hep C definitely played a part in her early demise.
 
Great story Goldfish. I never got a chance to see her but listen to her all the time... another one gone too soon... R.I.P. Natalie
