I see they list a Convertible option in the brochure scans. If any of those Savage 'Verts still exist today, they'd probably be the rarest A-Bodies in the world.

No idea. I have never heard of any Vert's coming up. A total of 13 cars are known to have built.

Ummmm i believe he stated the original 340 is runnin around in a challenger somewhere, and somebody plopped a 2bbl 318 in the car. If you look closely at the engine pix you will see an A/C compressor on the engine, however the car has a plain heat/defrost firewall, and what looks like an EGR valve on the intake manifold.

Yep the original 340 is in a Challenger in Eau Claire, WI where I took this car out of the field behind a barn. It still sits in the storage building where I put it, hopefully one day it will be rescued again and restored!
