I bought these as sbp, tape measure shows 5x4, caliper/micrometer shows the same (no pic), so why do they not seem to fit?

Lug nuts do not appear to fully seat, same nuts used with my steel original sbp wheels, and the center hole is too big.

I was going to list for sale, I had my rear wheel off, so figured I'd confirm with a pic.
I don't want to sell if they're not correct.

What wheels are they? Something newer with a metric sized bolt circle? (100 mm)

Looks like 5x100mm to me. Close, but still not right.

5x4 would be 5x 101.6

Most likely as others said you have 5x100mm wheels

From the looks of your tape measure, those look to be around 3.9" or 5 x100 bolt pattern.
Toyota, Volkswagon, Suburu, MG.
Dodge, Aries, Caravan, Dynasty, Neon, Spirit, Stratus

Also has a date code 6/22/05
I'm assuming that's a date code.

When measuring even numbered lug stud spacing you go center to center of opposite studs

When measuring odd numbered lug studs you measure the outside of one stud to the center of the most opposite

The results are approximate not exact.

If you measure a 5x4 vs a 5x4.5 you will have 2 specific different nunbers, one will be close to 4 one will be close to 4.5. but neither will be exactly 4 or 4.5.

Yep... I looked a little closer, and did a little research.

Look REAL close at the 4" mark. It's off center to the left of the center of that wheel stud hole. Those are metric wheels.

The center hole size should have been the giveaway, I haven't had the dog dishes off my car in ages.

Lesson learned, smaller hole = better.

I think you mean smaller hole = CORRECT. lol

They look almost like Wheel Vintiques PT Cruiser Smoothies.
