Desperate to locate mounts for 383 going in my 66 cuda.
^^ ditto^^
It can work though: use HP logs, nested U channel for mounts in a "pocket knife" manner,( one side bolts to bock, other side swings open and bolts to K). Low rise Holley Street Dominator intake, TQ carb. Stroker 360 fits better. Can actually get headers to fit.
Any chance you have a pic of those fabricated mounts, or drawing? Not giving up yet, LOL^^ ditto^^

Man you are giving me hope! Have you done the project I'm trying to do, BB install in early A?RapidRobert's pics. See how its just 2 U channels and a tube? The bushing in the tube is a plastic pipe. There is no isolation in these mounts. you can mount them to biscuit mounts or run them solid. If you run HP manifolds, youll need all the shim you can get to the passenger side to clear the steering shaft. I actually sanded off the casting numbers on the passenger side to get another 1/8 inch! You can also mill the driver side about 1/8 inch or better, angle mill it about 3 degrees so its closer to the block but then you run into mounting bolt interference. I ran studs and just bent them down! Have to pull motor to do any exhaust work (or anything else for that matter). Damn the exhaust gaskets, they will take up some room! I have these drafted up somewhere on this site, cant find them anymore.

Thank you. It's been done. I would recommend starting with late 60s mount brackets and fabricating from there...
