She hasn’t Divorced me yet!

Yeah you should be able to sit and idle forever even in high heat temps and not have engine get hot. So something is definitely not right there.

I’ll look it over one of these days.

My other 340 can’t do that without getting warm and the whole cooling system on it is new with a cold case radiator.

I can sit in traffic jam 100 degrees out with AC on idling and engine temp does not go up ....

As long as it stays clean
And both are happy ....
I like to go fast and get it done
Never worried about a little dribble
Or making a mess

She finally drove it today, she drives awfully slow, but she looks great driving it.

Also got caught in the rain, which was not on the forecast for today! Wipers work, but some leaking through where the convertible top meets the windshield frame. I think the rubber seal is off slightly, maybe it needs a new one.

Windshield header should be a double seal, how tight are the latches? sometimes an extra twist on the hooks helps...

If you drive them they are gonna get wet.... None of mine have melted yet..

Passenger latch is super tight to do, but drivers side isn’t. Leaking was on the passenger side.

I try not to drive mine in the rain. Don’t need to rust them out, new cars are for bad weather.

Is the top fabric pulled tighter on the passenger side?

Been driving mine in what ever weather shows up for close to thirty years, haven't seen any rust... But this is California so when the rain stops the cars dry out pretty quickly...

Been on cruises in the past where a real cobra joined us & it poured down rain... No top... He joined us for the next drive too... And dozens of other cruises..

Red arrow deflector seal (the one you have pulled free)... It should be captured securely by Orange arrow the metal retainer the the actual seal is from the primary seal with the yellow arrow pointing at it...

haven't driven mine with the top up yet :D
but in a couple of months time to tare it up and do the body work so i'm sure next spring it will rain every day

Doc...

Here is a how to on the windshield trim R & R. It will give you some insights.

67 - 69 A Body Convertible Windshield Trim R & R

Thanks JD

I was just glancing over that last night after posting. I’ll have to read through it one day.

Seems like there are a lot of nuances with convertibles, like reading over the motors for the power top, the switches for the top and so on.

Try having a 67 convert!

And.... About 12,000 total built in 3 years, and how many are physically still in existence, and of those how many are parts cars!

It's a labor of love to keep them going.

Welcome to the club!
