Do any of you have a rough idea how much a bare shell weighs(71 swinger)? Sending car to get blasted and primed. No doors, trunk lid, fenders, or hood. Just the shell with inner fenders and core support. Trying to figure out how much beer I'm gonna need to entice how many guys to get it on my trailer.
Thanks

I had my 71 Barracuda shell on a home made wooden rotisserie and I could lift up either end by myself. I would say four guys could easily lift your dart onto a trailer.

Thanks. That's kinda what I figured. 4 guys to get it off the jack stands. Now I just gotta get 400 guys to commit, then I'll get 4 to show up!

Took six to load mine after blasting. But it had to go over their heads. Those were the get-r-dun days . This bare metal body didn't have any rust . Try and find a body like that today. These pics were taken in 1985. check out the rust on the 72 its on. Yes I did bring it home like that. Which include a being on a 4 lane highway. 4 of us in the 72 for bottom weight. We were laughing so hard we were crying. All the while passing a joint. You should have seen the faces on people we passed.

You might be a redneck if you strap your car on top of your car.....

Option C proved to be the least aggravating, fastest, and cheapest. Used pneumatic casters and scrap tubing to make a whole car dolly. Easy to roll around and have about 3' of room under the car to work when it gets back. Only took a few hours, and cost 6 beers and a few minutes trigger time on the argon bottle.

My redneck rotisserie only cost 25 bucks, and that was because I had to buy a few 2x8's and a few big bolts
