Just for the record- my lower window treatment for the back window came in I ordered from Dave Layson about 2 weeks ago or less. I have not put it on the car yet but it is absoulutly beautiful!

Now Dave, please make new tail lights!
The 5 piece kit came with the hardware and gaskets. I saved a good amount of money as a kit from them over another company trying to pedal all the parts separately. Glad I made the call. Great job!

Is Dave Rick's brother?

Funny you ask- I may had misunderstood Dave but Rick is not a brother. Rick responded to my question about where to get the top spear resting clips and I called but got Dave. Dave said Rick was a partial owner but not a Layson...... Disclaimer- I called to order $18 worth of clips and ends up buying over $1,000 worth of parts. I was so excited to chat Mopar Abody... I honestly do not remember 100% who owned what or was related to who. All I am solid about is they both do a good job in my eyes. okay have a good night. I'm Joe- positive about that!

Interesting.

I've only ever had interaction with Rick.

Both here and in person.

I've done deals with Dave for years, but since he stopped coming to the Nats we've sorta lost touch!! I still have one of their very early catalogs that showed a bunch of his cars on pages throughout the book!! Kinda kool, and waaay back then I think we were the only 2 guys even interested in the early A bodies!!

You talk about early A-bodies and lack of stuff. Years ago you could get a lot from a company called Auto Body Specialties in Middlefield, CT. They were the goto place for sheet metal and emblems, ECT.
Today I was driving by and thought I would pop in and they barely had anything I needed. Nothing I could not buy off Ebay for sure.
It is so sad that there is a market for early a-body stuff and nobody filling it. Classic has a good amount and it is where I bought my 1/2 quarters for the 66 Barracuda- really nice thickness, size and fit. They are just kind of expensive.... but i will pay the price because nobody else wants to carry this stuff.
I just dis like the fact you need to cut up and part out 4-5 mopars to finish one, but you can go buy an new Camaro body off the shelf for the same year. Paint it and drop in an LS motor and cruse all in the same year.

Okay off my rant- back to looking at my shinney stuff :)

Layson's has a lot of great products. I haven't needed much for my cars but what I've needed, I just drive over and grab it.

I stop by their display at the Nats every year. They're on manufacturers row down by the starting line I think in the Indy Cylinder head row.
