I'm thinking of shipping my Swinger down to Moncton from Southern Ontario for a couple weeks this July. Can anyone in Southern Ontario, or the East Coast, recommend a service that they've used that they we're happy with or let me know which ones to avoid and what kind of money I could be looking at?? Thanks.

I would suggest Mackie Transport in Oshawa. He transports show cars and prototypes for the GM plant on a daily basis.

Other than that I'd use Google to find other companies.

I used Makie once , i purchased a 78 Lil Red Express in Bowmanville , was supposed to pick it up in Moncton , but the driver dropped it off at my Door in Miramichi New Brunswick. They were over a week late , so i brought him through the Plaster Rock Highway comes right towards my house .He was not happy as that highway is narrow , but very decent in august .He had called and said he was going to stay at his sisters for a couple of days in River De lioux , so why should i have to drive 1 1/2 hour to Moncton . I also used Hansens to bring my 73 dart sport from Sudbury , and they were almost 2 weeks late So if you want it in Moncton for a certain date ship it early enough. And another thing you never know where it is going to end up in Moncton , a towing company looks after it , from the Trans Canda .

Livingston Freight { formerly SeaRail a div of CN Rail }shipped my barracuda back to BC for me call them and see where there terminal in NB is .They pick up by truck or you can drop it off at their yard in Malton and they put in on a train to the terminal nearest to where you want it to go then truck from there , the price depends on how many trucks are involved if you drop it at one of their rail terminals and pick it up at one the price goes way down , I paid 1600 from a farm in south western Ontario to a terminal in Vancouver would have been 1250 if I dropped it off in Malton ,NB is a lot closer so I would think the prices would be lower.
PS all shippers tell you the same thing on timing to get your business but in reality you will get on the next full shipment they have going your way mine sat in Malton for almost a week and waited in Winnipeg for 2 days till a connecting train arrived with enough cars to refill the rail car mine was on
