Shock extension with ss springs

Whats the minimun extension on shocks with ss springs at ride height or resting height. Thanks

About 2" if I remember correctly. I got shocks for a early Dodge truck for my Duster with SS springs. They're about 2" longer fully extended.

Im not asking this correctly. I am running ss springs the shocks that are intalled are completly compressed at ride height. I want to know how much gap should be for comression so i can measure for full extension. Thanks

I am using stock shocks with SS springs.

It seems you have the opposite problem that most people have after installing SS springs. The answer to your question is !/2 the total shock travel. If the total travel is 5 inches then at ride height it should be 2 1/2 inches.

Thanks that makes sense. Ive got 2 sets of ranchos and both are to long.
