shock plates

Ok I need a little education on the rear shock plates, are the plates different between the a-bodies and the b-bodies or are they the same as long as they are the same type rear end ie 8.75, 7.25 etc. I am needing a set for my 8.75 and found a pair from a 65 B body. Thanks in advance.

Yep, they are mostly the same. I know the AAR and T/A E bodies has their own plates, but I have used B and C body plates on my A’s.

There are some different ones depending on the year and model. The U-bolt spacing is the same and most of the time the length of the U-bolts will work too. The main difference I've seen is the location of the shock pin.
