[Found!] Shot in the dark. Looking for a pair of p4876124 valve covers

It is Christmas and I want to get something for my new Small Block build. I am finally collecting parts for my 1941 Plymouth Coupe (finished my 10 year Hot Rod Model A build-took long enough :)) and these would definitely be a nice way to class up the engine.

If anyone has a set they no longer need, I am interested in buying them.

I always considered them W2 valve covers:lol:. I'd love to have a set if I ever got around to using my W2's. They go together like peas in a pod.
 
I can ask him if he would sell them. I remember back when they were available I had bought them. They were around $400 and the fastener kit /studs and nuts were around $100. I had a couple sets I had milled off to get rid of the fins to polish them. They will not polish. This is the set I still had the stud set from. Steve's are new in the box never used with the stud set from this set pictured. I don't think he would sell them for what he paid. But I can ask and get pictures if you want to make an offer.

I would definitely like an unmolested pair. I like the fins and MOPAR Performance Logo on these, otherwise I could just get the sheetmetal style that are readily available. I am kind of a nut with vintage parts, as reference my 1930 Model A has a 1963 Buick Nailhead and I searched for over 10 years to find a matching set of original Weiand Valve and Wire Loom Covers.

It is always worth it to me to make my car stand out and be functional.

The only set I have seen in person is on a friends car, which has been off the road for more than 15 years and will more than likely stay on that engine until he passes. He won't sell them, I have tried.

At the end of the day I don't want to put anyone out if they have plans to use them, but if there is a clean set out there and the owner does want to sell I will have to pay what the market dictates, as they are no longer being made.
 
I sent you this link on FB and you never responded. This guy is selling a pair and I have bought from him before. I bought a NOS W2 intake off of him last summer and it went very smoothly.

I created a thread here before I did on Facebook, and thought I was in the works with someone there; but, everything about that specific deal was too sketchy so I bowed out. The same day someone here on the forum reached out to me and I am committing to buying this second set which is NOS in the box.

I do appreciate you reaching out to me, BrianT and those are very nice, I do appreciate it.

I have found the baffles I need for these, Mancini Racing actually still has them listed. So now I have to figure out the hardware.

I looked at Summit and while they give the thread pitch and length, they don't give the overall length of the studs.

I have them at the machine shop in the big garage with all the covers. I can dig them out and post picture with measurements if needed

I know the 1941 Plymouth isn't an A body (thanks to the community for not running me off), but I do plan to make a sort of what a Moonshiner would do if they had access to the Chrysler Small Block and other updated parts.

It has a 117.5 inch wheelbase and weights 2900 lbs stock. Plans are to add a TKX transmission, I have a Chryslers 8 3/4 diff from a 1969 Dodge Van (I have to get the housing and axles shortened and a new gearset), will have an LSD of some sort (Sure Grip, True-Trac, etc..) and 4 Wheel disc brakes. I plan on updating the front IFS to something much more performance oriented. My goal is to be able to take curves at speed and get out and go on the open road.
 
I have seen F-body, ( Volare, Aspen, Diplomat) suspension used. It is a one piece suspension. Torsion bars , stabilizer bar, Shocks, Upper and lower A-arms. All attached to the K-member. I had a scamp here with one installed. Drove and handled great. Also seen it installed in street rods.. Cheap, Durable and parts readily available. Also provides adjustable height.

I have a friend who used a Volare front clip in a hot rod truck. Agreed; It was a neat setup, the torsion springs gave him infinite height adjustment, however I am already set on using an Art Morrison GT front IFS. I've seen one on a 1940 Plymouth, and it sold me. That car takes corners like any modern sport suspension on the road today.

I'm kind of a nut for that vintage old stuff as well, and I had a set of those on my wife's sixty six barracuda, but as we know they worked good, they just weren't error correct...
Mopar Performance didn't come around till the late 80s. I kind of considered direct connection.The kind of stuff I like putting on my older mopars...
