Should I tack the collector tubes?

I have some pro-parts BB fenderwell headers. Ive got the collectors on doesnt seem to be much holding them on besides the slip fit. Should i tach them with welder?

They usually have tabs on each piace that line up and bolt together

i never tack welded them.. i just twisted some wire (coat hanger like) through the tabs. the slip joints were tight as hell. never had any issues.
