I have a 1967 barracuda convertible that I am getting ready to restore. I am looking for ideas. My car is too far gone from original so I am looking to do a nice, clean, economical resto-mod so to speak. It will be a driver that will be driven whenever possible on nice days-not a trailer queen. The car has a 340 with a 4speed. I am hoping that I can get some pictures posted on this thread of other members Barracudas (notchback, fastback, or convertible-does not matter) to help spark my interest in the car a little more. I have never been a big fan of the convertible but the price was right and it is beginning to grow on me.
so....POST AWAY!

Heres my '67 cuda, were sorta doing the same thing. I powder coated the front suspsension black, changed over to '73 later disc brakes, 8 3/4 with sure-grip/3.23 gears and disc brakes from a '97 Jeep cherokee. I painted the trunk and engine compartment. New fuel tank, sending unit and 3/8 fuel line, Aftermarket mastercylinder, denso internally regulated alternator, Found a good running 360/727. Now I'm getting ready to install a good exhaust system.

Mine started out like this: Siezed up 273/904

I'm right in the middle of doing bodywork. Replaced the passenger side quarter, trunk floor, back window lower corners and the corners where the turnk seal goes. Along the side it had dealer installed door knocker trim and thats gone too.

My Fastback. Kind of same theme as Tonys, almost stock.

My dream car has always been a 71 Cuda. But man I think lately I prefer 67-9 fastbacks. Black on black I saw one at a OC md show once with a Ray barton hemi w/ cross ram. I literally missed the bus back to the hotel looking at that thing. bwww o boy.

Here's mine.

Fat Blue Fish Build is the thread name where you can see the build.

Enjoy the process it takes time and patience but as you can see by all the nice cars before mine the results are worth it.

We are restoring a 69 rag for my wife right now...Pam's Jamaican Blue Baby if you wanna see a rookie doing rust repair check it out.

Mop:burnout:

I've altered my 67 notch from the grilles to the reverse lamp location.
I can offer suggestions for specific areas when requested.

in progress, new paint/color, new hood, new gauges , new braided line, new pics when it gets closer.

All these look great!!

People can call it blasphemy but I will take the '67-9 Barracuda over the E-bodies but that is IMO.

I have a '69 coupe but I can't figure out which way to go with it. Probably nostalgia while adding stuff like rear disc brakes or any other improvements.

nice cars...I should have asked for 67-69 pictures....keep them coming!

Is your car mini tubbed? What is your rear wheel combo/offset ect.....it looks cool!
