No. The bell housing has the starter mount in the wrong position. WAY wrong.

figured, i should be able to just swap out manual valve bodies though right? because the slant 6 that my car will have has a reverse manual valve body, and i was told they have minute differences in themselves

There "used to be" a factory adapter for using a V8 A-727 against a /6, but not the other way around...........

so NO. You need a smallblock V8 transmission

Valve bodies can be swapped between V8 and /6 904 transmissions. The big difference between /6 & most V8 904’s are the number of front & rear clutch disks & steels, V8 has one more than /6 front for a total of four, same for rear pack one additional clutch sometimes; also there are different spring counts depending on application.
