Slant six 2 1/4" exhaust questions.

In my '64 I have a 2bbl intake with a Carter BBD. I'd like to upgrade the exhaust to 2 1/4".
Being in the beginning stages of paint prep I figured I would pull the manifold to hog it out to 2 1/4" before I have new paint.
Dropped the small pipe and found the manifold outlet is already 2 1/4". Yaay, saved some extra work! I believe the exhaust manifold is from a later model truck, based on trying to get a thermal choke in the 'pocket' to work with the BBD carb. Went with a manual choke.
Question, what muffler / resonators are you using with the larger pipe?
I don't mind a good sound but really want to avoid a drone.

Try the back of 65 Commando exhaust or something similar. Straight thru muffler and a straight thru resonator.

Their site only shows V-8 applications, I'll have to call them.

TTI just started doing the Slant exhaust in 2020.
I'm surprised it's not there.
