Need help to identify this SB Purple Shaft. Anyone?

that was my understanding as well. because DC/MP had several companies grind their cams they ID'd the units by paint dots/colors and sometimes stripes on the shaft.The I.D. is the color of the paint spot..... but I don't know the code.
Caliper measurement of the lobes should answer the question.

there's a codex floating around somewhere that deciphers the ancient language, but i haven't the slightest as to where it could be found.

The changing of grinders was a PIA for identifying cams. Stamping your part numbers in the cams, it's not that hard. NOPE.
