Need help to identify this SB Purple Shaft. Anyone?

I didn't see the first 3 until I looked with a magnifying glass. :BangHead:

looks like the 280/474 street hemi grind.
That one step down from the 284/484. But measuring the lobes would confirm

Yes measure the lobe lift with calipers and that will really narrow it down. It's fairly simple and many threads on the internet explaining procedure.

The I.D. is the color of the paint spot..... but I don't know the code.
Caliper measurement of the lobes should answer the question.
that was my understanding as well. because DC/MP had several companies grind their cams they ID'd the units by paint dots/colors and sometimes stripes on the shaft.

there's a codex floating around somewhere that deciphers the ancient language, but i haven't the slightest as to where it could be found.

The changing of grinders was a PIA for identifying cams. Stamping your part numbers in the cams, it's not that hard. NOPE.

There was a discussion over on Moparts a while back about the paint dab ID of MP cams, and a member who was working for MP at the time of that thread was saying the dabs were often wrong.

If you do a google search for it, that thread will come up.

I just measure the lobe lift on the ones without an actual part number on them.

If thats the only pic you have, im gonna say its way more important to see the overall condition of the entire shaft than to ID it. Just sayin.

Sorry guys for late answer.
The seller had quite a hard time measuring the lobes. I tried to explain and sent pictures how to measure.
Ended up with what I think is a

P4452782 340 cam OR a P4452761

The two lobes he measured on were very near 0,0444 and 0,045 lifts on both measurements so he could have measured on two intakes or two exhaust lobes. He wasn’t that good reading a caliper and maybe didn’t think/knew that the lobes sits beside each other in some places. Hope you understand what I mean.
Thanks for chiming in guys

Ps I’m not gonna buy it
