Small bolt pattern wheels on a 70 340 Dart?

-
Factory disc brakes
14x4.5 or 14x 5.5 steel wheels will fit fine.

Typically they are refered to as J wheels as there is J in the stampings in the wheel.

In 67 the stampings are inside the wheel where it can not be seen with a wheel on

68 or there abouts the stampings are on the outside around the valve stem.

I cannot agree sir. 13" SBP wheels will not fit over factory disc brakes.

I’m not sure that the center bores were all the same diameter for the 9”, pre ‘72 10”, 73+ 10” drums and KH disks either.

Not an SBP wheel expert by any means but I seem to recall there being more than one SBP wheel center bore diameter. Could be wrong, maybe someone with more SBP knowledge can correct me.

Yup and only a "handful" of aftermarket 14" SBP wheels for the factory disc setup too.

i *should* know this... seeing as i have two small bolt 9" setups on cars sitting over here and 10" stuff kicking around.

i want to say that all SBP registers are the same no matter, but i can't with 100% conviction because i can't remember what all i swapped around between the cars and what was in my inventory.

knowing ma mopar... it's different. *laughs*

That's just a point that I don't care about. I have wheels I know will work on my car so that's all the info I need. LOL

well, what happens when you stumble across a set of really awesome wheels with nice rubber and they're a killer deal but you gotta buy 'em right meow, and you don't know if they fit?

I was selling parts to an F100. A guy came over and wanted to buy stuff. He wanted to buy the wheels, but he wasn't sure they would fit. I told him to take one home and check it out then come back and buy the rest.

He said he was sure they would fit so he bought them and a bunch of other stuf. He wanted a discount for buying so much.

Well am hour later he was back wanting his money back for the wheels cause they didn't fit.

I was selling the wheels for 75.00 each and then with everything he bought and the discount on the total that brought each wheel down to 50 each. So that's how much I was willing to give him back. He was not having anything to do with that and demanded (by threatening force) that I give him 75 per wheel back.

Well my wife (gotta love her) was listening to the exchange from inside the house and came out with a baseball bat instead of calling the police, So i gave him 75 per wheel and sent him on his way. I knew where he lived and I relived my planned revenge in my head for years, but I grew up a bit and didn't do anything.

Edit. I gave him the 75 per wheel not 25 per week back. Cut my losses.

good on you (and the mrs) for standing your ground. i've had somebody try and pull that tactic on me before, evidently it's a pretty popular move for scumbags.

i hate, hate, hate selling people the wrong stuff. i go out of my way to be as transparent as possible if i don't know and i usually will actively encourage people not to buy if they don't know either!

Had some dirtbag try something like that on me once. I was selling a 250 Chevy 6 banger from a half ton that I parted out. Guy calls me late on Sunday afternoon, says he absolutely has to have that day. I agreed, as long as he was at my house within an hour or so, he showed up after about 90 minutes, gave me some bullshit excuse for being late, etc.
Then he says he needs the radiator, and exhaust system too, I give him a break on everything for $250 bucks. After we get it all loaded into his truck, he says he forgot to go to the bank, but he can give me a check. Fine, whatever, just get out of my yard already. Two hours later he calls me and says he wants to bring the engine back because it has a knock, but he's going to keep the other parts, and stop payment on the check. Oh really?
I told him that I would be at his bank when it opened the next morning, and that if there was any problems with the check clearing, I would be at his door immediately after and he would end up in the hospital for a very long time. Then I ended the call. Next morning the check cleared without issue.
