So My New Smartphone....

When are you going to run vixen down a drag strip? I wanna know how fast it is not listen to it idle.
:poke:
No time soon. I want to, but the TINY little A903 transmission and the TINY little 7.25 rear probably wouldn't make it. I can't afford to be down a vehicle, cause soon as chit one of the others would break down. I'm sure it's expectedly slow anyway.

Don't you dare feel stupid! The Ford engine family is one of the most extensive on the planet. It's unbelievable. Families within families. Look at the FE family. You have the standard passenger car and light truck FE, then the medium duty truck FE, both of which are totally different and take different heads, intakes, exhaust and front accessory drives. Displacements from 330 to 428. And some can be very confusing. The 360 and 390 for example, have medium duty truck variants VERY close in displacement at 361 and 391 respectively. And if that's not enough, The 428 had like FIVE variations AND THEN also had a medium duty truck variation COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the passenger car/light truck line. And that's just ONE FAMILY of Ford engines. LOL
My current stable of COMPLETE engines consists of (2) FE’s, (3) 302/351W’s, and (2) 460’s. I used to boast that I could build a 289/302 with my eyes shut (‘cuz I kept blowing them up when I was a kid, mostly), and I’ve ported (and sometimes ruined) God knows how many ‘69-70 Windsor heads to get as much out of them as possible. Thanks to an old friend of mine who built, and raced Y-blocks, I also had one of the first Jon Kaase “Clevor” engines around these parts in one of my ‘69 Mustangs (Windsor block, 2V Cleveland heads, Kaase intake). I used to say my blood type was Type F….

But I had to sell damn near everything I owned (including my soul, it seems) to pay for a wedding in ‘91, and I was never able to get back into cars while I was married to that high priced *****.

Only in 2014 did I find the time, and money, to get back to my gearhead roots, but I’m surprised by the sheer amount of **** I’ve forgotten.

Thank you for being so gracious.

phhhhtttttt. I feel stupid on a regular basis so I'm right familiar with it. lol Glad you got back into cars. John knows how to build some serious Ford muscle. He did a 400 for engine masters. 677HP and 597TQ. All motor.

I am not one to run to the store to get the newest tech gadget, especially phones. It was 2012 when I got an iphone.
Since then though, taking pictures to post on the forums is SO much easier! The picture quality is quite good for even a cheaper phone.
I load pictures to the laptop so I have them safely stored.
It is weird how these phones have radically changed manners, behavior and decorum. People often want you to text before you knock on their home door. I prefer people to text or call before just showing up at my place. Pictures are a must nowadays when selling parts.

For some reason, the phone amplifies the heck out of higher frequencies. It sounds normal standin next to it.

And he didn't even touch on the 477 and the 534 medium truck engines.
I've always wanted one. Those are the Super Duty gas engines made from 58-78. They are not in any other Ford family. Very large by huge engines. lol

Similar to the FE engine but much larger physically. Years ago, I replaced one under warranty in a C model tractor that belonged to the Kennedy Space Center, I remember the core charge on the engine was more than the price of the reman engine.

Yeah sometimes you run into that cause they want those cores REAL bad. LOL

Love your truck, but I love your accent even more.
That is probably the first and only time I'll hear that.

My accent is a big reason I didn't do more videos and even deleted a few.
That plus I get nervous when the camera is on.

Kinda like garth from Wayne's world. Party on, then the camera turns on and I'm like umm , uhhh ummm.

Party on.
