What do ya'll use to soak an edelbrock? Won't fit in a gal can would one of those disposible aluminium pans work or will the cleaner eat thru it?
Thanks

If it eats the pan, ill damage the carb. Try a cut down dollar store trash can. They have lots of sizes there. Berrymans will damage the finish if left in overnight. I may have still had the 'good' stuff but it made the boosters very porous, like it ate parts of the alloy.

I'm doing a carb right now and I found a thick plastic bowl that the center of the carb would fit in and then added other stuff around it to raise the level of the fluid to cover most of the carb

Mine is an edelbrock and is really wide at the base gonna measure and find a suitable pan that it will fit in

if you have any of the good old stuff, look on the can and tell me what the chemical is. Is it dicloromethane?

The customer had his 87 Camaro towed in for no start. He now has a list of 11 things that need repair to make it safe and dependable. But first make it start and keep running

I wish you were closer. I have a ultrasonic cleaner. I would love to try it on Hemi446's carb above. It will clean the tiniest passages but it doesn't bring the exterior to the correct color.
