I am currently running a solid lift in a 340 combo, thinking of going to a roller. my question is how streetable are solid rollers, are they more streetable than solid lifts? do you have to adjust them alot? Any block modifications? I know they make more power just wondering about which one is better for a strip-street combo and maintenence of them. thanks :blob:

yea couldn't ask for a nicer family. its a 540-549 lift comp solid lift with 1.6 rockers. thinking of around a 600 lift voodoo roller

Some cam grinders make "street" rollers that are a little easier on valvetrain parts (springs mainly). I know Comp cams sells a few in their extreme energy series. I'm sure other cam grinders do too.

super reliable, just keep an eye on the spring presure, it you start losing springpreasure power goes down and you will destroy the cam real quick and it doesnt take alot of metalshavings to kill a crank and berings... just stay with a streetroller and it wont be alot of trouble, there is hardly any valve adjustment needed on a solid roller, have had a solid roller in my sumertime daily driver for 3 years before i killed the springs and killed the cam and alot of other stuf at the same time and they make real nice power :)
Btw i am looking at that .600 lift lunati roller also :)
cant realy tell about blockmodifications since my block has had a rollercam in it for a long time before i bought it

thanks duster 340. theres nothing like hearing it from someone who has a run certain parts and knows about them from personal experiance.
