You're welcome. Sorry for the limited interest in autos, although the 64 Impala 409 425hp wagon was neat. As were the Studebaker racers; one had a sheetmetal single 4-bbl tunnel ram.

Yes, thanks for the pics. It's quite a show for sure. I went for the first time last year.

Going to the show is my birthday present from my wife. And she comes with and has to hear endless "I had a car like that but it was..."

Thank you for the images!

I am not a lifelong Moparniac so can someone help me with a little background on the Challenger in post #4?
Never seen one!

:rofl: I didn't notice the model callout on the fender. I thought it was Commander at first glance.

Challenger and Daytona were Studebaker model names based on the Lark. That dark green Challenger is a R4. 289 with 12:1 compression and dual quads. R3 was a 304 with Paxton blowing thru the pressurized box-that was in the Plain Brown Wrapper 1964. R2 is what is in the Red Tomato 1963 Lark. 289 with Paxton and a blow-thru carb. R1 is a four barrel 289 which was the base engine in the 63/64 Avanti's.

GTS Registry, thanks for the Studebaker history! Interesting that so much performance came out of a company that seemed geared for economy.

davescuda, congrats to your friend! W30 or 31?
