my 340-4 speed has been stripped completly of the wiper system and heat system.

i have all the stuff to reinstall, but i would like to just block all the heat stuff off.

what do i do to block off the big round holes under the dash where the vents came through? i beleive that these two hole go to the vent that is on the outside of the car. i guess you caould call them gills, right near the end of the hood.?

Gee Heck In Virginia We Would Use Duct Tape, lol How Is It Going Plot? The Holes In The Fire Wall I Would Fab Me Some Sheet Metal And Welld Or Revit It Over The Hole Smooth The Edges With Filler And Paint The Sucker. As Far As The Inside Under The Dash Find You A Cap Of Some Type And Jb Weld It In Place. If You Are Not Going To Show It Tell Anyone That Looks To Get The Hell Out Of Your Car. Just A Redneck Thought. Keep In Touch My Friend And Good Luck. Steve

The fresh air vents get their air from the cowl panel. If you don`t want to use the heater box you could simply cut some circles from sheet metal, silicone the edges, and using self-tapping sheet metal screws, attach them to the openings.

ok, thanks for the input. i will fab up a few peices.

stevvvvvvvvvvvvveeee!!!!!! whats going on????????????lol long time no see. hope everything is going well. i pretty much got the interior in real good shape. going to do engine bay tommorow if the rain stays away for a while

I just siliconed some sheet metal over the hole. On the vents I just put them back on. They come in handy on them hot days. For the pass side I took the heater and cut off the vent then put it back on. It gets hot here in SoCal and I am glad I keep them on. Or you could just silicone some sheet metal there too.

I've seen several race cars with aluminum or thin plywood patches over the vent holes. You could also try to round up the factory heater delete parts! :-).
Good luck,
Mark
