I am in need of replacing my spare tire, well and trunk floor in my 74 duster. I found this replacement part online. My question is it looks like the rear leafspring mounting bracket is welded to this part of the trunk floor. Does anybody know if that bracket is welded to the bottom of this trunk floor? If it is, I assume you have to drill out the wells and detached from the trunk floor

It is very common to have rust in a Plymouth or Dodge trunk floor. Our OE style pans will drop right in and mate to all adjacent panels. They extend to the trunk extensions on the side, the tail light panel at the rear and the rear seat pan (over axle pan) in the front. All cutouts, holes and shapes are included just like original. Includes 68 up gas tank strap bracket.

Please note: Must use large 70-74 model fuel filler tube to trunk floor seal (part# F-307R) when installing this item.

This fits:
1967 - 1976 Dodge Dart
1973 - 1976 Dodge Dart Sport
1971 - 1972 Dodge Demon
1967 - 1969 Plymouth Barracuda
1970 - 1976 Plymouth Duster
1967 - 1976 Plymouth Valiant

I’d you remove rear leaf springs before you cut the weld for the rear bracket? I am wondering if I need to disconnect the leaf spring from bracket before I cut out the trunk pan

My diff was out of the car when I did the repair. I'd be worried that the weight of the hanging axle, or the weight of the car may twist the bracket once the trunk pan is removed...........Just my opinion.

I am going to drop the rear leaf spring from bracket then
