Speedo cable lube?

Whats the best lube to use on the cable, mine is doing the, i need lube dance.

Bruce,

Motorcyle chain lube works great for me and doesn't dry out. Use WD-40 to flush the old garbage out first.

i use white lithium grease.

Iv'e used powdered graphite. It also works great for leaving fingerprints!!
