Hi all. I am currently getting a pair of stage 6 heads built.
They were blank heads and so far this is the work we've done.
5.4" 11/32 valves with 2.250" inlet and 1.880" exhaust.
The longer valves were as per Chapman heads from info I've found online. Shallow spring seats etc.
Pushrod holes have been filled, welded.

I'm planing on going EFI and turbo so what manifold would fit these heads on a B block (383).

First question is can these heads be ported to max wedge size ports?

What manifold options do I have with the max wedge size on a B block?

What manifold options do I have with a 440 port? Thinking PRO_FLO XT.

I'm very confused with the Mopar performance manifold chart.
Would this manifold fit my engine or is this for a 440 block with stage 6 heads.

Also would the Hughes Rockers have enough offset .600" or would I need more?

I plan on using the offset roller lifters from MRL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll post flow numbers once they're done.

I have read, but do not know, that the Stage VI heads that Chapman CNC'd for Mopar were a different casting. I personally do not understand why that would be or if it is true. So, I do not know if you can go to a Max Wedge port size.

A "B" engine with Stage VI heads will use any stock size and width RB intake.
An "RB" with Stage VI heads will use a "special" wider intake.

Off hand, I do not know what off set Mopar has the head set up for. But there's your guide and hunt to find that info in there books or from a magazine.

Golly, has anyone checked on stuffing all those big valves inside a 383 bore? How/where are you locating the rocker shaft when the pedestals were designed for a 1/2' shorter valve length?

Probably has the block mounted shafts.... A little bore notching may be in order...

Dave at Hughes engines has no experience with these heads.

The rockers will have to be moved.

The mopar perfomance manifold has the valley plate cast onto it and I'm not sure how this would fit on a B block. I like this manifold because it has the injector bosses cast into it along with fuel rail posts. Which one is to suit Stage 6 head on a B block or are they all just for RB blocks?

Is the max wedge head cast with extra material around the port?

The engine will have a single turbo and EFI. My builder said get the biggest valves that would fit and the biggest port.
