There is no "G" on the starter solenoid, which is mounted "in" the starter.
WHAT YOU HAVE
The starter RELAY looks like this.......
The SOLENOID is in/ on the starter.
The battery large main cable normally goes from the battery to the biggest bolt on the relay. Then a second large cable continues from there to the largest stud on the starter solenoid.
THAT BOLT is one of the relay contacts
When the relay energizes it CLOSES that large stud contact over to the second large terminal, the big "square" terminal on the relay. THAT terminal, the big square one, has a smaller wire which goes from that RELAY terminal to the SOLENOID terminal on the starter
The two smallest "push on" terminals on the RELAY are the coil of the relay. Electrically, they matter not, although they are labeled, "G" and "I" G goes down the firewall, over the top of the transmission, and to the neutral switch. "I" goes in through the bulkhead and gets "start" voltage from the ignition switch when twisted to start.
