Have purchased and stripped a 72 Demon, body on the rotisserie, 360 engine to build, and will be swapping out the 7.25 rear for a 8.25 ( have the housing). It will be a work of love or hate sometimes but will need your help I am sure. Right now could use some 8.25 axles to start as the donor axles are too badly pitted in the bearing area to reuse.
Thanks in advance for the help and I will try and pay it forward as you do.

Welcome! Sounds like a fun build. Would love to see some pictures of the high school car, as well as the new project.

Welcome to the forum, post up some picture when you have a chance as it sounds like a great project.

WELCOME to the forum. You will get the best A Body help in the world here. I think one of the slickest looking Demons I ever saw was orange with some black accents. What color will yours be?

People have asked for pictures and I only have one polaroid of the front view of the hood that I might be able to find. pictures of the one I have to start with now is as all start out in complete disassembly form to see what I need to do and my best to do it right so that won't be interesting to anyone now. But as I progress I will start reporting as soon as I figure out the correct place for them. You guys have been very welcoming and are getting me fired up about it. I will do my best to recreate my car. It was the standard yellow with the black stripes. Black buckets with no console, auto on the tree. I remember I used to stuff a pillow between the seats for my girl to sit on : ). But I made it my own by cutting the side stripes midway of the doors rather than have them continue to the front. I painted the hood flat black ( in the day BBQ grill paint had just come out ) with flames that looked appropriate from the center. It did not have the scoops so I may have a set available once I get to that point. The wheels that were on it, I may not be able to find, they were a polished mag that resembled a wire wheel pattern. The engine package was the 340 / 727 / 4.11 with both dolled up nicely to run in the low 14s when she went to the track on tune day. I think it hot a 13.92 once. It was all manual with no air ( this one may have to get air ). You guys just sent me down memory lane. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome from WI. As a huge Demon fan, I am anxiously waiting some pics and progress.
