Working on my '70 Duster and want to get it where I can steer it again. Problem is the steering column I have is a an automatic, column shift for Power steering. I am going with a floor shifter and manual steering. Was leaning towards an aftermarket tilt column but not sure what length I should go with. Anybody done a swap like this? If so, what length column did you get?

FWIW the car is a restomod that is getting a modern 392 hemi and 8spd automatic transmission

I am in the process of installing an 80’s M Body tilt column automatic on the column in my 65 Dart, so it’s not the same as your requirement. I am using Borgeson U Joints at the column and PS box connected with a double D shaft. Perhaps if you order an aftermarket column the same length as your column and use the U Joints/double D shift, it should work

The cheapest resolution would be to get a floor shift steering column collar to remove the selector window and nub left behind when taking the arm out.. and use an adapter from the power steering shaft to manual box.. that’s exactly what I’m doing with my 68 Dart. I’m gonna go from power steering to manual and I swapped it to a 4 speed year before last. They make reproduction floor shift collars. I scored a used one from a late 60s B body. I would have bought the repop one but every vendor that sold them didn’t have any on hand.
