I have a '67 that I am putting a newer column in. I noticed that the 67 firewall brkt is 2.5" in diameter and my new column is only 2 1/8". Does the 68/69 have a smaller hole in the bracket?? And I if so, does anyone have one or know where I can get one? Pic is of my 67 brkt.

You can look on Speedway Motors web site. I have only seen 2" diameter colums, never a 2 1/8".

You can always fabricate a mount that fits under the part you posted a picture of using a clamp.

It probably is 2 in, just enough paint on it to make it a little bit bigger. Would kind of like to stay with a stock piece but I'll look at speedway motors. Thank you

Did you have the rubber gasket installed in the plate?
 
I have a 67 & a 71 here.
Both columns are 2 3/16"
