Stock battery

They were all originally what was known as a "group 24" and not "24F" which is Ford. Any half assed retailer who claims to sell batteries should be able to look that up.

So far as "how good," WEIGHT is a telling factor. If the pimply faced kid takes a "24 month" and a "60 month" off the shelf and they both weigh the same, you are getting screwed.

In the antique days when "I was a" the quick rule of thumb was "as many cranking amps" as "the CID" of the engine, IE a 360 could use a 400 CA battery.
