Not yet, we are on restricted road issues. 8 thousand in permits just to move 175T crane thru town. Add 4 semis worth of counter balance and we will try and pick it up this Friday. At this point looking like about a 40,000 dollar mistake.

Very limited space for that crane to work in too. Gonna be one of those "Step away from the rig Alex" moments . My operator Red used to tell me that now and again and I knew he was about to do something really hairy :realcrazy:. Or the "Tell me when the outriggers are a foot off the ground".

jackall on right rear of trailer, wheels about 4” off the ground.

We did what was necessary. The ladder thing was safer than standing on the “safety”rails. And the lift was chained to the trailer.

Kinda reminds me of when I clambered up to the top of our old 3 story Victorian house at 5:00 am because the roofers tarp had blown off and it was leaking into the house. I tied the extension ladder to the top rail of the 80 year old rusty fire escape with some old shoe laces on the third floor level and climbed up another 12’ onto the slate roof and retied the tarp to the chimneys that were 30’ apart. Nothing below but a 60’ fall onto concrete.

Pouring rain, slick slate tiles and a steady 30 mph wind in dim light. I must have been out of my mind.

Building a shelter for ostriches, hoop shed. We were pulling the canvas over it,i had one hand with rope wrapped around it tied to tarp and other arm was hooked into a fence rail. It was lifting me off the ground.
Pitch black, pouring rain and howling wind. All i kept thinking was dont let go..that was back in the days when we were building houses, walking on top plates carrying trusses. Nothing to it.
Safety policies now, build roof on the ground and lift it onto house with a crane.

Trying today was down hard yesterday when I got back home. Got a distrib in the mail for rebuild, I think, no idea who from no note in it at all. Some how my e mail got corrupt and cant get all the saved e mails back? WTF?

You gotta to stay off those sites...haha!!

I tell everyone to put the wants in and a phone number. WTF? I have no idea what they want done. And I guess the midget **** sites Wolfie hooked me up with are kind of corrupting.
