Hey everyone, how have you all been? I haven't had any free time for the past month between freelance and this job interview.

Just an update, I went up to Boston last friday and have 5 in person interviews as well as a 'sixth' in the form of a lunch. Boston is a great city, err well Cambridge.. I really liked how it was all laid out and the whole city seems 'walkable'. That being said, I got a callback yesterday, and now I'm in the 'final stage' where I have 2 more phone interviews to conquer.

Unfortunately, I was just informed by the SUoM&D(Storage Unit of Mom & Dad) that "the only car they plan to store in their garage if I move is the one with a trade-in value of $8k or higher." So i will unfortunately have to let the Duster go, if it comes to it.

If you know anyone looking for one, I have it + all interior + brand new AMD Trunk pan + used / cleaned gas tank, straps and FSU.

On the other hand, I've been pretty busy with things and began to realize that I don't have the room (or funds) to preform the type of restoration that the car would need (to make me happy with it). So I think next time around, I would be looking for one that is a little more well off, or better yet, later in life, a ratrod.

The Boston opportunity would give me a chance to live without any car payments and cheaper bills with a higher income, I'd actually be able to save a significant amount of money this time around, haha.

(If I don't get back to this today)
Best,
Ty

I just seen that our member Kegan rolled his duster yesterday, he is ok but the duster looked like a parts car now.

Full set of Crane Adjustable Ductile Iron Rockers $495 @ Summit . Shafts $50 each.

Another member Jake890, got t-boned in his Geo by a semi last monday. He doesn't really post but he lurks, has a '64(or65) Valiant. He's sort of lawyered up now so all the details are locked tight.

Had a punctured lung, couple broken ribs and lacerated spleen. He's my buddy IRL, he's doing better though, just resting.

Hey Ty, well the good news is a raise, the bad bye bye ruster. I think tike and Keith both have one and might need parts.

Well got one side of the scoop to open under power yesterday. Looks really ugly right now but it will grind up!

Yeah nothing if for sure right now, but while trying to grind off some rust, I had to sit in an angle under the bumper that was pretty close to a 30deg acute angle.

And that's when I realized, that there just won't be enough room.

Ideally, in the future I'd either look for a nice driver that I could just move the springs inboard, shackles, run larger tires and go from there. OR a ratrod that is in the 'running' stage but is at the point where you'd customize it to make it look less like a chevy/ford/dodge truck front.

For an example of the RR style I'd be looking for would be something like this, where it needs a more stylized paint and could use a larger engine. That's more of my 'speed' and space.

I'm keeping the welder for future use, so atleast I'll have that.

Mornin gents, dug out but the cold set in. 3 deg outside now. coffee tastes good this morning.

hey Tyke... so you may be joining me here huh? It is too bad that you'll have to lose the Duster but with every door that closes and new one is waiting to be opened..
