Stop in for a cup of coffee

The van even has red circle dog dishes ....OMG I cant even get over it.

The detail is so amazing!!!

That is so me, because in all the years I have been messing with cars......I don't use aftermarket wheels under any circumstance.

Nothing fits like O.E. parts, so that is how I would have my van set up if I had one and the demon is definitely what I am doing with my existing clunker :D

I'm so glad you like it!

A little artist secret sharing...those wheels and caps are "borrowed" from a pic of my Dart. I just changed the wheel colors to match They really are genuine red circle dog dish hubcaps. :D

Got it! Good selection of pics. Do you have any that are bigger? I can work with the one's you sent but bigger pics help a lot. A nice big 3/4 view pic like either of these would be great...

Let me do some looking and I will mail it/them in, Can it be a car that is not mine but a bigger picture ?

I bet you are happy to see this day finely arrive :color: Been there.. glad it is behind me :color:

Yep, that why I need to see the Doc tomorrow. I want to make damned sure the infection is gone and won't be coming back. Tomorrow is the last day of the current antibiotic treatment and I don't want it to stop unless it's really done.

Sure, as long as it's one that you want in the final image. Otherwise let me know if I need to make any changes to the image you get. I can modify most things as needed.

nice work on Rani's avitar - cool stuff

Thanks!

That one is a composite of about 22 different layers.

The Background is 1 layer
The rain on the ground and in the air is 3 layers
The Van is 7 layers
The Demon is 9 layers
The shadows under each vehicle is 2 layers

Then each layer is adjusted and worked to integrate with the others. Light, shadow, color, texture and resolution are all harmonized to match in order to create the final piece.

It all started using these 3 images...

Geez, and I have trouble with Dot to Dot's!

Nice job and thanks for explaining. You do very nice work!

Thanks! Those are just the technical bits. For me the real challenge is much bigger.

Like the image for Rani, I had to glean whatever information I could from little snips and a few comments over the internet from someone I've never actually met to try to figure out what she was looking for and what would appeal to her. I took my best shot and got pretty close.

Then after she enjoyed it for a little bit, she opened up a bit more and I got more from her to work with...and was finally able to produce an image that seems to have genuinely made her happy.

It's like, for a brief moment, that I was able to touch her soul...without ever seeing her face. The same has been true with everyone else here I have done images for.

That's the kind of rare and rewarding experience that keeps me doing my art, and why I never charge for it. How could I ever accept a payment beyond that?

With a few hours of my time doing these images, I have made a kind of connection with people that I never could have otherwise.

And maybe, just maybe, made their World a little bit better place as they have made mine. :)

Wow Dave. You're a badass artist.. and a damn nice person on top of that!.. kudos to you..

Kind words, thank you my friend!

I appreciate your offer of the tire iron too. :)

Kind of refreshing to find a complete stranger who's like a close friend, one of the cool parts of this site as a whole, and this thread in particular. M1 created 'old Mopar dude facebook' and didn't even know it..

Yep, it's kinda like Cheers in here...like it's full of old friends who know and like each other and don't pretend or posture. We are just a bunch of plain honest folks who know who and what we are, and aren't trying to be something else. :)
