Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey you just bought the place. If they find something the seller didn't disclose at settlement you have recourse.

Oh wait, the phone just rang. Technician will be here within 30 mins.

Thank God for that!

Stay tuned to see what he finds when he gets here...not feeling too optimistic right now.

I just know this is gonna be expensive. :banghead:

You know whatever he finds, he's gonna think that you are a freak... :toothy1:

A 'half hour' in contractor is really three in real life.... :banghead:

Worse than that, the dispatcher just called. Tech is MIA. If he doesn't show up in next 20 mins, it going to be tomorrow morning.

The good news is that they will apply a 20% discount for the inconvenience...

Yeah right, they will just jack the price and knock it back to make it seem like a discount. Without a current quote I have no way to tell the difference.

Exactly. It's almost like getting a gift certificate for a business that has to look at what you have before they give a quote to do the work. I never tell them I have any kind of discount card or gift card till I hear the quote.

To calm my aggravation over this crap, I created this image...

Nice. I had a friend that had a drain cleaning service. He told me the trick to cleaning most of them was just go to the curb clean out push a line in a few feet which did little but open it a bit. and then run a hose thru for thirty minutes. That hose running water did all the work.

Yeah, I'm suspicious that there is a screen in the drain clean-out that is the issue. I suspect the previous owner knew the system was draining slow but never disclosed it.

New construction, wannabe previous owner that bought a house they couldn't afford to properly maintain, and I get the clean-up to fix the problems. Figures.

That should have showed up in the plumbers cert. Unless they FUDGED IT.

Well I would like to keep shooting the chit and see how this works out but I'm pooped. See you later good luck.

Maybe, but the plumbers cert usually only involves flushing the toilets and running the sink drains for a few mins. They never would have seen this unless they filled the entire house drain system with water. They would have had to run about a hundred gallons of water down the system before the issue started to appear.

Damn, no service tonight. They just called and said between 8-10 tomorrow morning.

I did this one while waiting on the call...
