Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey Mike, haven't seen any snakes near the house lately, there's so many other places for them to hunt around here but who knows? So many birds in the shrubs I won't be able to keep track or know who survives...I'm ok with the rules of Mother Nature. The last baby is still in the shrub, Mom fed him a few minutes ago, he's poised there at the top, I'm pretty sure he'll fly shortly.
I agree, l seen a King snake heading for a nest just a couple years ago and hit the tree (small) with a hammer and she jumped right out, Mother natures law should stay in place  Cool pictures with a long and enjoying story :thankyou:

Time to leave for work...the smallest one is struggling, in the lower branches...foot was tangled for a minute...Mom and Dad helping. I can't watch anymore!!

storms off the gulf side can be brutal - my mom lives in Naples and even as far inland as she is they can be pretty rough
I see, i was skeptical of an ferry access only type island too. Really boxes you in.

Hell no !! Thats the hard part !! That why I need a snake !! :soapbox:
Here is Bertha, she has been threw 2 or three males that I know of in the last 7 years, she eats them or they run off :wtf:... I have seen her this year already, she is a fast one when we step out on the deck

Mystery solved...Rani doesn't like Big Snakes...

hee hee

I take the book of Genesis seriously....that plus, there has to be a reason that a lot of people are repulsed by them. Most people don't have a negative reaction to furry creatures, of course furry creatures are not in Genesis described as the deceitful enemy of mankind either.

Agreed.. The only reason I tolerate them is to get rid of rodents. That one is Huge tho.

They make cats to get rid of rodents too.:D
She is part of nature here, our own minds put them on the list of an enemy of mankind, and like an elephant it will take a home and all living in it if it want's to, I don't trust a big male or female elephant, I am glad I can see them approaching and or stay away from there homes.

Fox are good for rodents too.

around here some people like to shoot the fox but I have seen fox take snakes, skunks, birds, and mice down.

only downside is they are dangerous around kittens but a big cat is ok from a fox, but just in case I bring my cooper kitty in the garage at night.

A fox is good to have around if you don't have chickens and other small game around, it is against the law to shoot a red fox, but it's ok to shoot a gray, I don't ever hunt/shoot them, I have about three cat's around my place, they show up at night and do there job, I hope I don't see 10 kittens soon, bet I don't till there grown, they are smart animals that can take care of there self.
