Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good Morning All! Snow everywhere, oughta be an interesting drive into Redmond for Safety Mtg. Maybe if truck is squirrely enough I'll call into it remote, I've been asking for new rear tires and fleets little wear indicator says there's "enough" tread HA!

I guess I've missed it your moving?? Must be for a good reason where you're at and the set up looked perfect but we do what we have to do.
Plan was to have this place paid off and be looking at retirement soon, with Covid and wife losing high paying job (treatment center shuttered) we are way behind on that schedule so looking for some place cheaper to live with better gun laws and I'll leave it at that. It will likely be a downsize, this place is 2000 sq ft but there will be a shop : )

You can move over here Rich, I could use a good neighbor.

one of the poorest counties in WV..................

IMO, long way to drive to see a dead town with boarded-up shops everywhere................not much there.
Read a book long time ago, called Rocket Boys. Couple years later, it turned into a hit movie. But I’ve always wondered what the town looked like and if anything was left.

Work might be sending me to DC for a week in the spring so I was considering driving by since I’m gonna be driving thru WV anyway. And maybe try to sync with you and Chris 2.0

We are about to begin exploratory trips into Idaho, starting in Mountain Home area, like Buhl etc. to be near a base, use the commissary, hospital etc. Then will check out Northern Idaho, will dip over to Fairchild AFB in Spokane area to buy the vittles, use hospital etc. Would like a place on the Snake or Salmon Rivers, will be Steelhead and Salmon fishing during retirement

Like you guys are doing Jodi and I looked at retirement somewhat analytically. Idaho and Montana were neck and neck for first place Arkansas being third. We set up a spread sheet with the key points we felt were important. Family, tax exposure, climate, 2A laws, general culture of State etc etc etc. and most importantly it could not be flat! Hah! We have to have mountains! Anyway obviously we chose Arkansas as the pull of grandkids was simply overwhelming. This is my long winded intro into take a look at the North West Arkansas area. The hunting and fishing is amazing, mountains everywhere. And health care system is world class. This State could use more folks like you as we are getting more and more California folks here. Apologies Tim! Anyway food for thought.
