Stop in for a cup of coffee

Sleeper cars are cool in all forms.

That's the acceptable "All door"
I was running Pontiac Ram 4s in a firebird once upon a time. I could not solve exhaust manifold leaks in the inside two cylinders. I ended up making a three pipe header using an oversized tube in the middle. I cannot tell you how many guys would comment when they saw the engine that it was the fastest six cylinder they had ever seen. Only thing more insulting was getting called a Camaro!

My high school buddy's dad had a bit of a factory Mopar sleeper. '69 Hemi Roadrunner. The little 1 inch tall letters in the fake hood scoops and the Dana 60 were the only give aways. Bench seats, column shift. :D:steering:He never let us drive it, when the buddy got his license, dad traded it in for a slant 6 more door Dart  "Gas is gettin' so expensive. That's why I traded it in"

Ugh..

Sadness

On the road this morning to go eat breakfast I spied another Cafe I'd never been to before. Cafe Boss. Pretty big inside, a lot of seating area. Outside is where most people are sitting now, and that's where I'm at right near the road. I'll be back here.

The fastest and most surprising sleeper was a 2wd late 80s Jeep Cherokee. Kid was a year older than me in highschool. His dad drag raced semi-pro, they’d swapped in a big block Chevy and a Lenco trans. Looked like a rusty Cherokee on the outside. With the dark tented windows, you couldn’t see the shifter

Today is Wednesday in Vietnam. On Saturday I'm going up to Saigon to meet Lynda for 2 days before we get on an Airplane to go to the Resort Island of Phu Quoc for 5 days. I have reserved a bungalow right on the beach at the Ocean. Should be lots of fun.

Just enough clear sky to see that Falcon 9 launch. They didn't postpone it . Saw the stage separation, few minutes later booster lights up for it's landing and down she goes. That sucker really moves fast as it approaches the landing zone . Saturday morning a Firefly Alpha launches from No. Vandenberg about 15 miles from the house.
