I got a call from Jeff today. The 64 has arrived so I will drive 20 min. north to another town for a lookie loo. @halifaxhops , Jeff said it has a home installed Mopar electronic ignition on it. Any reason why it would need 12 volts to start? Jeff said they use a jumper wire to the battery. I'm thinking WTF?

Those DIY electronic ignition kits on the pre-65 B bodies are notorious for having issues. Especially since most people don’t know you have to change the voltage regulator, starter relay and ballast all to match the electronic or it’ll burn out the ecu over time due to improper ohms and voltage.

I might just go back to a stock distributor and a Pertronix If needed.
