He’s good also.Wandered into Nick Waterhouse "Say I Wanna Know"
Always interested in Vietnam . Had two buddies in that war . One was a Green beret and the other was a Marine .There was an Army Airfield here in Vinh Long in the '60s and '70s during the war. There was also a Navy PBR base at the head of the City on the Co Chiến River. I have driven down the still existing and obvious runway many times that I've been here. Yesterday I noticed some old walls that were still intact not far off the edge of the runway. I'm quite sure those were the walls or what's left of them from the base perimeter. And there is an old block building still standing, probably part of the base at one point back in time .One of them looks like it could have been a secondary gate. I took a few pictures.

There's a lot of history of the war here in Vietnam just about everywhere you go. Whether you are in the northern part of Southern Vietnam or the central Highlands or even here in the south in the Mekong Delta area. I've never been asked anything about the war even though I appear to be about that age. They have pretty much forgotten about the war here. They don't even teach it to the children. They are very welcoming of westerners and especially Americans here. The people are great. I am interested in a lot of the history from the war. And wherever I go I try to go and look and see that I can see. And I'm always reading books here about the war when I'm at a cafe alone..Oh man , so sorry to hear that Mitch . Way to young !!!
