Stop in for a cup of coffee

-
Good afternoon everyone. I have been taking apart the car since yesterday and was back at it this morning at 0545. The guy was supposed to come over to help me adjust the valve lash, however, his water heater went bad, and hopefully tomorrow. Anyway, I am glad he didn't make it today because boy was it a struggle..................

-Yesterday, I removed the passenger shock and pulled the passenger valve cover. I have done this before, so I knew what I was dealing with. Not too difficult......
I went to pull the MC off the firewall and still did not have room to pull the driver valve cover, so left it to mess with this morning after some more research and a clearer head.

I called Chris yesterday and we talked about it.
-So this morning at 0545 I pulled the rod from the pedal under the dash( PIA, by the way, no room) I thought ok, the hard part done...............NO did not matter how much I tried to negotiate the valve cover would not fit past. Also I could not pull the MC away with the rod out of the firewall due to the valve cover blocking it.:mob::BangHead:. After a long time trying to figure a way, I was done and cut sawed that BEOTCH right off.....................Success, MC and valve cover removed.

I have already ordered a new MC and several other parts and pieces including a bench bleed kit and a brake blled kit.

Yikes!

IHRA put bids in on 16 world class tracks over winter... the IHRA might save racing :)
Yeah that’s the same one the true owners of National trail raceway adamantly claimed was false

Fits like a glove

Stupid deer, just looked so funny standing like that, left front and rear on the road, right front and rear off the road eating grass.
Speaking of slamming on the brakes, wife figured car would stop instantly and she would go through windshield. Honestly, i cant make this stuff up!
Had to take the oppurtunity to demonstrate. I didnt 4 wheel lockup, but pretty close.

There an actual press release on that? Because someone posted that 3 weeks ago and the owners of National Trail Raceway screamed all over social media that it had not been sold and was not up for sale.
They said they bought Maryland international raceway too but they forgot to tell the owner and boy was he pissed and he said it’s NOT FOR SALE

Damn that's tight. I have an extra shoe horn if ya need one.

Seems all they did was make offers, not actually buy them. There was 6 tracks that all came out saying IHRA hadn’t bought them

Rad fitment is done. Notched and boxed it in so rad can drop 2” lower, now its well behind rad support. Tomorrow i will fabricate top brackets.

And here I look for deer in places that they always inhabited previously, and not a sign of them :realcrazy: At So Vandenberg when i was working out there the Air Force had their rules we had to abide by. One of them was that the easy and quick route to our workplace didn't open before 06:15. If you had to be onsite early you had to take a different route. Vandenberg besides being an air force base was also a wildlife refuge. There were all sorts of critters running around loose out there including plenty Deer. Since I had to be out there earlier than my crew to get my concrete plant ready for the day the very rural alternate route was my usual route. There was a bigass buck out there a 4 and 4 and always I saw him in the same place. One morning the guy that ran our saw yard had to come in early, he drove a Jag XKE :steering: Well, he found that big buck that morning  That XKE looked like an airman had stepped on an empty Coors light can
